A second sinkhole has made its appearance near Tampa, in the town of Seffner. As I recently reported, a man was swallowed up in that same area just a few days ago.

Jeff Bush was lying in bed when the ground collapsed underneath him, and he could not be located since. Hillsborough County spokesman Willie Puz claims that the second sinkhole "is not geologically connected" to the one that has claimed Bush's life.

The hole is 12 feet (3.7 metres) round and 5 feet (1.5 metres) deep in the center, according to Heavy. It has opened up between two houses, at the 1200 block of Cedar Key Lane in Seffner, Florida, two miles (3.2 km) from Bush's residence.

"We talked to an engineering expert who has been working with us at the other site and he confirmed that these two sites are not connected," Puz explains.
