At least no one died this time, despite lack of safety improvements

Gas leaks are nasty things, especially when they kill people. Samsung should know, having suffered an incident that killed a maintenance worker not too long ago.

The fatal occurrence ended up costing Samsung just a telling off from the authorities and a fine of $1,000 / €759.99 – 1,000.

It also, presumably, led to some modifications to the safety protocols involving the gas tanks.

Sadly, said improvements were either insufficient or they didn't happen at all. Samsung has just suffered another incident.

The issue occurred at Samsung's main chip factory in the city of Hwaseong. No one died this time, but that is just about the only good news.

Three people have been injured, all of them Samsung employees rather than workers from maintenance firms. Now we just have to wait and see how this blows over.
