Konami has confirmed that it’s going to release the second demo for its upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 (PES 2013) simulator next week, on August 28, after the first trial that appeared last month.

Konami has always adopted a rather peculiar demo strategy with PES titles, opting to release a trial many months in advance, based on early builds of the game, and then, as it gets closer to the game’s launch, it releases another demo, based on the final version of the soccer simulator.

The first PES 2013 demo was launched back in July and now, as we get closer to the game’s October 4 release, the second demo has received a concrete release date.

“The new and improved PES 2013 demo will be available for download on Xbox 360 on August 28th, and on PlayStation 3 on August 29th. A Windows PC version will be available later in September. Thanks to the feedback received from all our fans who tried our first demo and those who played our Gamescom version, our new second demo is packed with improvements,” Konami said about the new demo.

A variety of improvements have been made to various mechanics from the game, ranging from the smarter referee AI, to modifications to the targeting and trajectory systems.

“Not only has the balance between offense and defense been equalized, but our fans will be able to see the improvements made in pass targeting and trajectory, shot speed, blocking actions by defenders and even on the referee AI.”

New content was also added to the demo, including more teams and even new anthems, not to mention the training trials that are a major new feature for the game.

“Our new demo will include 11 fully licensed teams and the possibility to play 10 minute matches. Also new anthems have been implemented for the starting line-ups and fans will have the possibility of experiencing for the first time our brand new training trials.”

Look forward to the release of the new PES 2013 demo next week.
