Microsoft has rolled out the second update this month for its Surface Pro 3 tablet, namely the 19 August 2014 firmware and drivers pack, which is compatible with the producer’s Windows 8.1 operating system.

This newly released update package applies the 3.9.150.0 Surface Pro UEFI version that allows the device to display the BIOS password state and asset tag information, and also reduces the boot times in some situations.

As for the other version included within this downloadable archive, the builds are the same as in Microsoft’s previous update, namely the August Firmware and Drivers Pack for Surface Pro 3, links which were released just a few days ago.

When it comes to installing this release, you should know that the Windows Update service provides the Surface updates in stages to its customers. As a result, not all devices will receive the new version at the same time, therefore you must wait for your turn in order to get the upgrade.

With this in mind, if you are anxious about this new package and don’t have the time or patience to wait, then consider downloading and applying the package manually via the link below. In addition to that, when upgraded, the tablet will also get all previous Microsoft releases if they aren’t already present.

That being said, download Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Tablet Firmware/Driver 19 August 2014, and upgrade your device. Also, constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
