The power supply unit is the third in the P Series that came out one and a half years ago

Some people might not know it, but Seasonic is a heavy name on the market for power supplies, which is probably why its booth wasn't overlooked by those who attended Computex 2013.

One of the products at said booth is called SS-1200XP3 and is the latest and greatest member of the P Series.

It has a power output of 1,200 W, which is more than most PCs need really. It takes a special kind of high-end, multi-GPU computer to actually use all the energy provided by it.

The PSU doesn't always run the fan (Sanyo Denki San Ace 9S). The 105° C rated Japanese capacitors give it high enough endurance that it only needs to enable the active cooler when 30% load or higher is reached.

The newcomer also (presumably) has quad-rail design with OCP trip points set very high, although, curiously, Seasonic advertises it as a single +12V rail user.

Pricing and availability details remain a mystery.
