A new and captivating hidden-object game for all ages

For those of you that enjoy racking their brains with different puzzle games and other mind-challenging titles, I would like to recommend the new Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water. What makes this title special is that it really captivates you with the gameplay story.

Even from the beginning, you get to choose the type of storyline you want to follow. Under the form of two godly sisters, the goddess of fire and the goddess of water, you get to control whether to play the game under a time-stress factor, or take it easy and solve puzzles whenever you feel like doing it. From my point of view, I consider this a new way of setting the difficulty level of the game. For instance, beginners will prefer playing with the goddess of water because there is no time constraint into finding or solving puzzles.

As for the game’s graphics, there isn’t much to say, except for the high-quality definition of the background images. Most of these games make it a little obvious to spot the desired items, but not Coyote`s Tale. As a matter of fact, the items are so carefully blended into the setting, that there is no telling between dynamic and static elements. This is a great feature, especially if you are looking to turn the game into a real challenge.

Another aspect that has drawn my attention has been the environmental sound. Whenever you are busy looking for items, you will not be annoyed by background music that distracts you. The sound is rather relaxing and simulating at the same time, giving you a sense of adventure and keeping you focused on pursuing your goal. Needless to say, after you complete every quest, you get to talk to other gods, which can be, at times, more than amusing to exchange words with.

The entire story of the title revolves around a vacation that the two sisters are having and how they must find magical items that give them more power than they have had before. In pursuing their quests, they meet all the powerful and worshiped gods that take advantage of their curiosity and send them to complete various tasks. At the beginning of the game, you can choose to play with either one sister or the other, thus setting the difficulty level.

Fire and water have always been considered vital elements, and the title exploits this symbolism by adding a mystical nature to the gameplay. I have to admit that this is a breath of fresh air, considering that these types of titles mostly come with a detective story or a quest to find a lost puppy.

The characters of Coyote`s Tale are not that many, but as you will find out during the game, you will come in contact with all of them and solving their puzzles will be more like taking on a bonus mission that unlocks a special element. As a matter of fact, by the end of the game, your character will be decorated from top to bottom with ancient and powerful artifacts that give you different abilities.

I am also inclined to recommend this title to children as well. Most of the characters’ voices are soothing and not at all frightening, even if you are talking to the god of the Underworld. Moreover, the game can prove to be captivating and youngsters will soon take notice of the fact that the characters somewhat resemble cartoon animations.

On an overall note, Coyote`s Tale: Fire and Water is a title that can entertain children and grownups of all ages. Considering that you can freely download and try the demo version of the game, I would recommend doing so and afterwards paying the full 19.99 dollars to unlock all of its features. It’s a small price to pay, and you won’t have to worry that your children are drawn to violent and destructive titles.
