If you want to know the latest news that concern the White House or the Vice President Cheney's Statement on Death of Former President Gerald R. Ford, you should visit specialized news sites such as Softpedia. Most of them are providing only the news without any additional information so what can you do if you are interested in an information regarding the U.S. Government? Use Google U.S. Government Search.

Google is the most powerful search engine on the internet, allowing you to make all kinds of search queries like books, universities, patents and even blogs. The search giant also created a new search engine that allows you to find the latest news concerning the U.S. Government.

"Google U.S. Government Search offers a single location for searching across U.S. government information, and for keeping up to date on government news. You can choose to search for content located on either U.S. federal, state and local government websites or the entire Web -- from the same search box. Below the search box, the homepage includes government-specific news content from both government agencies and press outlets. You can personalize the page by adding content feeds on government or other topics that you're interested in," Google said.

The search engine works in the same way as the default search function provided by Google, offering an advanced search feature that helps you select a specific government source to return your wanted news. The service is available for free and it doesn't require a Google account to search the U.S. Government.

"The Google U.S. Government Search index includes U.S. federal, state and local sites with domains such as .gov, .mil as well as select government sites with .com, .us, and .edu domains (eg. .usps.com, .ca.us and ndu.edu). We add content from these sites to our search index on a regular basis. If you cannot find content from your site in the search index, ask your site webmaster to use Google Sitemaps to identify what parts of their site we should index," the company also mentioned.
