“Die Hard 5” is happening, as we also informed you a while back. While it's a given that Bruce Willis will return to reprise his role, the movie studio is yet to come up with a young actor to play his son – but, at least, the search has been narrowed down.

The plot of the fifth film in the series will see John McClane travel to Russia to bail his wayward son out of trouble once more.

Once there, new challenges and adventure will present themselves and, as expected, McClane will have to save the world from mortal danger.

Deadline says that the movie studio hasn't yet locked any actor for the role of McClane Jr., but they have at least 4 candidates for the part.

Unfortunately, with some of them, conflicting schedules might make the collaboration impossible.

“I’m told the studio, Moore and Willis are down to these four actors for the role: Hunger Games’ Liam Hemsworth; Emmy-winning Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul (scheduling on his series could pose a problem); The Pacific star James Badge Dale; and D.J. Cotrona, who was a regular in the series Detroit 1-8-7 and is currently shooting G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation,” the movie-oriented e-zine writes.

One of these four would eventually get to pay John McClane Jr. and, by his father's side, save the world, says the same publication.

As we also noted a while back, Bruce Willis is on board the fifth installment in the long-running franchise.

Called “A Good Day to Die Hard,” the film starts shooting next year in Russia and will then move to locations all over the world.

A release date has been set for Valentine's Day 2013 and fans are also to expect a sixth film, since Willis said a while back that he would not reprise the McClane part once the sixth installment was done.
