Sounds impossible, huh?

Although the title might sound a little bit impossible, it's not. Google is the search giant on the Internet and all of you agree. Google really means Internet search because its technologies allows users to find almost any type of information, no matter it presents websites, jobs, blog posts, news or products to buy. Now, the Internet without Google is impossible. But let's suppose Google will disappear tomorrow and we must search on the Internet. How can we do this without Google? Well, there are a lot of other alternatives, some of them weaker but they can help us reach the information we wanted.

Yahoo is probably the most powerful Google rival because it provides a well-developed technology that helps users find any type of information. Yep, just like Google, Yahoo helps users search for news, websites, jobs or answers for most common questions. The Yahoo search technology is actually very powerful and it is periodically improved with new feature to become even more efficient.

Ask.com is a search engine that often tried to challenge the two giant with its services but it remained only an attempt. At this time, Ask.com has its fans but most of the Internet users are not trying to use the service as long as Google is available for all. However, Ask.com is a powerful search technology that contains a lot of functions helping users to find websites, images, jobs and many other types of online information.

In the recent period, there were a lot of rumors that companies are working on powerful solutions to compete with Google's search technologies. Wikipedia's founders also announced their plans to build a product able to compete with Google and represent only a search function able to provide more relevant results than the search giant.
