In the recent period, Yahoo Search received several updates meant to enhance the results returned by the search technology. Last week, Yahoo made an announcement to inform users about an update process, sustaining the improvements might affect the websites' rank and their position on the SERP. Although there were no major improvements, the giant portal keeps improving the product, adding a new feature introduced today.

Using this new function, the visitors are able to take the search results straight on their mobile device through a simple SMS. All you need to do is search the Internet from Yahoo's technology and click on the "Send to phone" option located under the search results. You'll be asked to write your US mobile phone number, no other international carriers being currently accepted. Instantly, Yahoo will send you an SMS with the search results, without having to pay for it unless your mobile operator has special rules.

"When you're on the move and have a limited amount of time, it's important to get all the information you need in a single search. oneSearch gets you all this information on your mobile phone because it understands the type of search you're doing and optimizes the results accordingly," Christina Lee, Yahoo Search, sustained on the official blog of Yahoo Search.

Yahoo is quite interested in the mobile market and this statement is proved by the amount of updates released especially for the handheld devices. Some time ago, the giant portal introduced oneSearch, a mobile search technology, while last week, Yahoo sustained that more than 80 percent of the mobile phones are compatible with the product. Using the new feature revealed today, Yahoo aims to conquer the mobile world, a territory avoided by Google that is currently working only on basic mobile functions.
