The Image Search function included in the best search engine on the Internet is now even more powerful as it contains some innovative features able to provide more relevant results. Basically, the search technology can now return photos that are displaying certain parts of the subject's body. As Ionut Alex, Google blogger, reported, the functions are not available as a search option because you must modify the search link displayed by Google. Usually, the search website is quite simple, but if you add the "&imgtype=face" tag at the end of the URL, you can search only for the face of the subject.

"The image results for Paris are pretty diverse, but most of them are about the French city and Paris Hilton. Now let's restrict the images to faces by adding &imgtype=face at the end of the URL: we get all kinds of images, but all of them show faces. Google uses face detection technology to select only images that contain faces and that may be the first visible result of the Neven Vision acquisition," the blogger sustained.

According to the same report, the Image Search technology allows you to find photos included in news articles. All you need to do is replace the "face" tag with "news" and search the Internet with Google's image search technology.

In the recent period, Google made a lot of improvements for the search technology, aiming to add some revolutionary functions able to provide incredible results. Last week, Google's officials announced some innovative updates for the Image Search function that will allow the product to identify the sex of the person displayed in the picture. Some time ago, Google introduced Image Labeler, an interactive game that connects to players and requires them to write the description of the object shown in the image.
