New feature or just a test?

Although I'm not sure this is a new feature of AdSense, please let me know if you have ever seen it before because this looks like a new present from our friends at Google. While I was reading an article on Softpedia, I noticed that instead of displaying the usual advert which is inserted in our news, the super giant shows only a tiny message encouraging users to "View ads about something" where something can be replaced with anything you decide to write in a small box. At the time of writing this article, this AdSense feature is not available anymore so it's very likely it was only a test.

AdSense is one of the most powerful and attractive advertising platforms on the web as it is able to bring valuable amounts of money to the majority of the registered members. What's more important is that it can be easily implemented into a website, the entire process being made in a matter of minutes. In case you don't know how AdSense works, here's the step-by-step explanation.

First, you must create an account on AdSense in which you're required to write the information concerning your website and the content appearing on it. Then, you have to wait a while until the Google folks analyze the submission and decide if the account is accepted or rejected. This is one of the most important steps of the registration because AdSense has very strong policies which infringe the users from implementing adverts on adult websites or other prohibited material.

After your account is created, you have to configure the adverts which will appear on your page. To do so, you have to login on the AdSense page using your information and follow the simple wizard provided by Google. Keep in mind that you should try the majority of features because AdSense has lots of hidden goodies which might help you reach more visitors. At the end of the configuration process, AdSense provides you a simple HTML code which must be included into your website. Every time a visitor clicks on an ad, a certain amount of money is automatically transferred into your account so more visitors equals more money.
