Sean Penn Is Washed-Up Rocker Hunting Nazi in “This Must Be the Place” Trailer

Back in December last year, when the first trailer for “This Must Be the Place” came out, we remarked that it was very odd, intriguing and potentially awesome. The new trailer for it, out now, reinforces that impression.

“This Must Be the Place” stars Sean Penn as a very apathetic former rocker who, on the eve of his father’s death, tries to reconnect with him by solving the puzzle of his past.

The father he never took the time to know was a Nazi camp survivor, so Penn’s character sets out to find those who ran it and, perhaps, exact some sort of revenge upon them.

Directed by Paolo Sorrentino, the film also stars Frances McDormand and Judd Hirsch, and will be out in theaters on November 2.
