14 DAY TRIAL // Seal and Heidi Klum are separated for the time being, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're getting a divorce. Invited on Piers Morgan's CNN show, the singer revealed he still had high hopes of getting back with his wife.
News of the separation came after a week of constant rumors about trouble in paradise for the two.
Heidi and Seal issued a statement to say they needed to go different ways because their marriage wasn't working anymore.
Since then, Seal has been promoting his latest album, “Soul 2,” and, as expected, questions about his marriage to the model also popped up.
To Piers, Seal says he knows “never to say never,” at least as far as his relationship to Heidi goes. He would get back with her tomorrow if he knew for a fact she'd take him and, just as important, that they could solve their problems.
“You can never say never. I can't speak for my wife and I'm not going to sit here and BS you and say we haven't had problems. Of course we have had problems, otherwise why have we split up?” Seal says, as the video below will show.
“This is not a charade. We have problems, we have issues, but to our credit we have always been able to talk about them, to confront them. To assume that any couple goes without arguing is just nonsense,” the singer adds.
He also explains why he's still wearing his wedding band, which, he says, he has no intention of taking off anytime soon.
It's not just a symbol of marriage, he underlines. For him, the wedding ring is a symbol of love, respect and admiration and, since he still feels all those things towards Heidi, he doesn't want to take it off just yet.
Still, it might not be enough to get them to reconcile.
“I don't know at this point if I would like to get back together. If it were that easy, we would still be together, that is the reality. Whether we get back together or not, it may happen, I can't speak for her,” Seal says.
