Designed to deliver a mix of performance and high-capacity storage, the new drive offers the portability factor of a 2.5-inch drive.

The unit features a small, 2.5-inch design and is featured with a large-capacity, 7200RPM spindle speed hard drive. In addition, the company decided to make the new drive more appealing to notebook users by offering a bundle that includes a PCI Express USB 3.0 card. According to the company, the new drive is capable of providing users with sustained transfer rates of 100MB/s, which is about 3 times faster than USB 2.0. In addition, to further sweeten the offer, the company will provide its customers with the Acronis business-grade backup suite, an automated full-system backup and SafetyDrill+ software that will enable users to save and backup their digital content.
The new drive will be available through the company's website and is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and is part of a performance kit that includes a power cable and a USB cable, in addition to the aforementioned PCI Express card. Basically, the BlackArmor PS 110 USB 3.0 performance kit offers everything you need to take advantage of the latest USB 3.0 specification.
