If you feel that using the USB 2.0 interface of your Thunderbolt-equipped MacBook for connecting a GoFlex external drive to your computer is like being stuck in the stone age, Seagate has a solution for you.

This comes in the form of the GoFlex Thunderbolt adapter, which the outfit has just added to its website.

While it might not look like much at first sight, this little device gives Seagate’s mobile GoFlex drives the ability to connect to Mac computers via the 10Gbps Thunderbolt interface.

According to Seagate, the Thunderbolt adapter could allow for transfer speeds up to 20 times faster than USB 2.0, making your GoFlex drive feel like a speed demon.

The GoFlex Thunderbolt accessory is available right now from Seagate’s Website, where it can be had for $99.99 (about 76 EUR), which doesn’t seem like a lot, if it can deliver on its promise.
