Seagate, the leading provider of storage solutions, announced that its new award-winning FreeAgent Go portable hard drive is now available in all the colors of the rainbow, including: think pink, ruby red, solar orange, spring green, forest green, royal blue, sky blue, champagne gold, titanium silver and tuxedo black. The FreeAgent Go series was introduced in September with a choice of four colors, but the company announced that the gift idea it had “would keep on giving for years to come”.

Seagate also said that the originally available colors, namely ruby red, royal blue, tuxedo black and titanium silver, would still be widely available. Moreover, from November 28, 2008 to January 31, 2009, customers who either purchase or receive a Seagate FreeAgent external storage device and register it will get 50 free songs from eMusic, one free movie rental and 50% off the first-year’s subscription to SmugMug, the leading professional photo-sharing destination on the web.

The Seagate FreeAgent Go storage solution comes as a slim, portable form factor which provides a load of space to allow users to store and back up personal multimedia files from holiday memories to favorite songs. The FreeAgent Go portable hard drive offers up to 500GB available capacity, and entire libraries of movies, music and pictures can be stored and carried on it, which makes it a great gift for all the important people on your holiday shopping list. In addition, those that register their new Seagate FreeAgent storage solution will also be able to load it up with fresh multimedia entertainment files courtesy of the Seagate Load Me Up promotion.

“The FreeAgent Go portable hard drive is the industry’s slimmest 2.5-inch external storage device and the first to feature a convenient dock to eliminate the hassle of finding an available USB port each time to access content,” said Pat King, senior vice president of Consumer Solutions Division of Seagate Technology. "Now, we’ve made the FreeAgent Go portable hard drive an even more attractive gift for this holiday season with colors and free access to digital entertainment. Seagate realizes that the value of an external hard drive correlates directly to the emotional connection people have with the content they store on the drive. Your photos, music and movies are a reflection of who you are. This is why we’ve partnered with some of the leaders in the digital content industry to provide our customers with a premium package of multimedia for their new drive. This along with the new colors should put the FreeAgent Go portable hard drive at the top of many wish lists this season.”

The entire lineup of rainbow colors for the FreeAgent Go portable hard drive is available exclusively through the Seagate web site. Capacities range from 250GB to 320GB and 500GB. The suggested prices for the drives go from $119.99 for 250GB to $149.99 for 320GB and $199.99 for 500GB. Seagate also offers as a separate package, the FreeAgent Go desktop docking station, which comes with a black leatherette carrying case meant to provide protection while traveling for $29.99 (MSRP).

More information on the new colors available for the Seagate FreeAgent Go portable hard drive is available on the company's site. For complete details on the Seagate Load Me Up promotion, go here or check back after November 28.
