14 DAY TRIAL // This past Tuesday morning, a dehydrated and malnourished sea lion stumbled out of the sea and into the courtyard of a 4-star hotel in La Jolla, California.
The staff at the Pantai Inn allowed the animal to rest on one of their lounge chairs, and called in a team of specialists working with Sea Word in San Diego. Sources say that the latter took the animal under their care, and hope that, with the help of some TLC and proper fo, the sea lion will soon make a full recovery.
They expect that, in about six weeks’ time, the sea lion will feel well enough to be released back into the wild.
“Our strangest rescue of the year so far has been this dehydrated and malnourished little sea lion pup that made its way into a lounge chair in the courtyard of a 4-start hotel just north of San Diego. The pup is now recovering in our animal care center!!” SeaWorld wrote on Facebook.
