Quite soon, AMD will unveil its newest collection of APUs, so there will be a whole new set of CPUs ready to get a better than average cooler, something that Scythe might be betting on now that its Mugen has reached Europe.

Scythe has definitely managed to make a name for itself on the worldwide market, being the creator of various coolers of differing shapes and sizes.

Fan controllers and other accessories are also part of the company's portfolio, although the concern with cooling remains prevalent.

What the outfit most recently did was unleash the Mugen 3 CPU cooler on the European market, this being a mid-end solution.

Since it is mainstream, it is likely that the upcoming, mid-range A-Series APUs (Llano accelerated processing units, based on the Fusion architecture) from Advanced Micro Devices will see it serve them.

Either way, the device is sure to at least capture the attention of prospective purchasers, especially with the fairly accessible price of 39.90 Euro.

With the ongoing financial strain in the region, PC and hardware sales haven't been very promising this past year.

Still, the company didn't let this stop it from putting together this third-generation Mugen CPU cooler for Intel LGA 775, LGA 1155, LGA 1156 and LGA 1366 chips, as well as AM2, AM2+ and AM3 processors from Advanced Micro Devices.

For those that want specifics, the Mugen 3 has six copper heatpipes, a number of aluminum fins and a nickel-plated copper base.

Together with the 120mm Slip Stream fan (300 to 1,600 RPM and up to 32.15 dBA), the whole thing measures 130 x 100 x 158 mm and weighs 825 grams.

Full information can be found on the official product page (located here) and users should be able to soon find it listed (if it isn't already).
