Sculptor Ray Villafane has revealed his zombie pumpkin masterpiece, populating the New York Botanical Garden.

According to My Modern Met, the exhibition is titled Haunted Pumpkin, and it will be open until Halloween.

The artist's team at Villafane Studios created this haunted forest out of three incredibly large pumpkins, one of which weighed a whopping 1,872 pounds (850 kg), making it this year's largest pumpkin in the world.

It features one 6-foot-tall (183 cm) pumpkin zombie, as well as other zombies rising from the ground. They all have their insides out, and some of the petrified faces carved into the pumpkins are enough to haunt you until next Halloween.

The creatures are displayed in a very realistic fashion, and you can notice the artists paid particular attention to their facial features, making sure they appropriately display a feeling of horror.
