jQuery LiveTwitter will help developers embed an animated Twitter timeline that gets updated in real-time as new tweets are shared or found. Just like the awesome
TweetDeck app, LiveTwitter shows a list of tweets and as new ones are found, it pushes the older ones down and prints the new tweets above them.
The plugin can be used in two ways. It can embed a person's latest tweets, or it can print a list of tweets matching a search term.
Besides the Twitter username and the search term, other customization options include: option to show the tweet author's name, his avatar, time of the tweet, option to set the number of tweets to grab, the timeline refresh rate and the dimension of the author image.
Thanks to a similar API, StatusNet and Identi.ca are also supported.
