Newscoop, formerly known as Campsite, is a PHP content management system (CMS) for online news portals or newspapers.

The former darling of online bloggers and news authors, Newscoop may have lost the battle with WordPress, but that does not mean it is not a quality product.

Full of features, Newscoop not only can be used for the aforementioned media room type of websites, but it can easily be used for creating simple static websites due to its extendable and malleable core.
