Script of the Day: Chamilo

Chamilo is a LMS (Learning Management System), a different type of breed of the CMS class, that allows webmasters to run highly specialized sites that focus on delivering courses, training programs and knowledge via the Internet.

If you think this might never be useful, you're wrong! At one point or another in your life you interacted with a LMS, either at school, at a private training course or at your work's intranet.

LMSs are popular because they provide a very organized way of delivering content to a group of users, controlling how and when they get access to it based on their permissions or acquired knowledge.

Chamilo does this too, with a huge collection of features and tools that we cannot fully list here anyway. But there's a Chamilo demo online here for version 1.8.x and here for version 2.1.x. So make an account and see how it handles as a trainer and as a student.
