Sony Mobile’s Xperia Z flagship device might get a taste of the new Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system before the end of the next month, and proof of the platform coming to the handset has already emerged, in the form of a leaked screenshot.

According to XperiaBlog, which brought said screenshot to the web, the update will arrive on the handset with firmware version 11.1.A.x.xxx inside. The 11.1.A.1.450 version that can be seen in the shot above is only a beta flavor, it seems.

The new platform upgrade will also arrive on devices with a new 3.6 kernel, up from the 3.4 kernel inside, the Android 4.1.2 firmware for Xperia Z.

For the time being, however, nothing has been officially confirmed on the matter, and we should take the info with a grain of salt. However, official details might emerge soon, so stay tuned.
