Soon, Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile might make official a new high-end smartphone in the popular Xperia lineup, supposedly called Xperia Z2, which has leaked quite a few times online under the codename of Sirius.

The handset is said to sport model number Sony D6503 and to be powered by the Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, with a new screenshot available to supposedly confirm that.

The phone’s Walkman lock screen has leaked on XperiaGuide, which has compared it to the lock screen of Xperia Z1, currently running under the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

The leaked images show that the upcoming device will provide users with a music scrubber, while also offering a camera launch icon on the lock screen, two features that are not available on the Xperia Z1.

It should not be too long before Sony makes Sirius official, so stay tuned for additional details on the matter.
