Clint Eastwood’s handsome son, Scott, has been getting a lot of media attention in recent months, but things are about to get really crazy for him soon - hopefully. This Friday, he’s making his big screen debut as a leading man in another Nicholas Sparks movie, “The Longest Ride.”

Based on Sparks’ novel of the same name, the film is a typical Sparks romantic pic, with Eastwood playing a retired bullfighter looking to make a comeback, who falls for an art student played by Britt Robertson.

The two appeared on The Today Show on NBC some hours ago to promote the film, with Scott ending up admitting that he’s actually a fan of Sparks’ biggest box office success, “The Notebook” with Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams.

In fact, Scott is more than just a fan: as per his own admission, he cries every time he sees it. Naturally, when the chance presented itself to him to do a Sparks movie, he didn’t hesitate. He’s been working in movies for years, but it’s always been in minor roles, so “The Longest Ride” should propel him to leading man status, assuming it does well at the box office.
