Martin Scorsese has passed the gang period and entered the airplanes frenzy. The famous filmmaker is planning to shoot a documentary about Airbus, one of the top plan manufacturers.
Scorsese's directing partner will be a Spanish cinematographer, who did some none-fiction movies, including one about the life of the famous left-wing writer Federico Garcia Lorca.
José Luis López-Linares and Martin Scorsese will co-direct the documentary about the Boeing competitor, by focusing on a parallel between building planes and cathedrals, comparing the work of both engineers and architects, as well.
A production company called "Colección Inmortales" sustains the project.
Legendary filmmaker Oliver Stone has also collaborated with the company for his feature documentaries "Looking on Fidel" and "Persona Non Grata".
While Scorsese seems to have bitten by the aviation bug, famous director Spike Lee has apparently been fascinated with dancing, as his current project is "Fusion", a film about the Spanish flamenco star Joaquín Cortés and his travels to Brazil to create a show mixing flamenco with Afro-Brazilian styles and rhythms.
Martin Scorsese is now working for "The Departed", starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon.
