Mr. and Mrs. Perfect were created with the help of software normally used to generate images of wanted criminals

Two months of hard work and a special piece of software normally used to generate images of wanted criminals were all it took for a team of researchers to create what they claim are the portraits of the ideal man and woman.

The images, available next to this article, were developed by specialist Chris Solomon at Kent University in the UK and his colleagues, Express informs.

To create them, the scientists started by asking volunteers to use the EFIT-V PhotoFit software authorities in the UK rely on to portray criminals to create what they believed were the ideal male and female faces.

The resulting images were rated by another group of volunteers, and the ones that got the highest scores where then blended together to deliver the portraits of the most attractive man and woman.

Since this research project was carried out in the UK and involved only people living in this country, the images don't show the world's most attractive man and woman, as some might assume.

Instead, they depict the faces of what folks in the UK would perceive as the best-looking guy and gal that ever were, Chris Solomon and his colleagues explain.

“It's important to note that these are the idealized faces according to those living in the UK, so a study in Asia or Africa for example would no doubt have different results,” the Kent University researcher said in a statement.
