Scientific Linux, a recompiled Red Hat Enterprise Linux put together by various labs and universities around the world, is now at version 6.3.

After just a couple of release candidates, Scientific Linux 6.3 has finally arrived. There aren't many differences from the previous release candidate, but a lot of things have changed since Scientific Linux 6.2.

Highlights of Scientific Linux 6.3:

• OpenAFS has been updated to version 1.6.1-112.sl6. Additionally, this package has been patched to disable NAT pings; • The yum-conf-rpmfusion has been added; • Updated GPG key list and the CERN's key is now listed; • Support for upstream changes in anaconda has been added; • Several packages have been removed.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement.
