14 DAY TRIAL // My.com has announced the release of its Sci-Fi action RPG Evolution: Battle for Utopia for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, featuring a sci-fi setting, jaw-dropping graphics, gripping gameplay with puzzles and epic fights, and the promise of a “unique combat system.”
Following its debut in Russia two months ago, Evolution: Battle for Utopia is now making its worldwide debut, already topping RPG charts.
“Welcome to the planet Utopia! My.com, a subsidiary of Mail.Ru Group, today released Evolution: Battle for Utopia, a best-in-class Science-Fiction Action RPG on the Apple App Store,” the developer announced today.
“Boasting one of the most expansive and action-packed words in mobile gaming history, Evolution: Battle for Utopia combines a deep sci-fi storyline, a unique combat system, puzzles and more, amounting to an experience unlike anything else,” reads the announcement.
The game puts in the boots of human operatives on a mission to chart planet Utopia, described as a paradise gone silent. Players engage in real-time battles “using a unique combat system that allows players to target and respond to enemy movements,” according to the developers.
Players must build and fortify a base to accumulate technological power and use it in battle, then terraform the planet using alien technology, “Turn lifeless land into green oases with its unique flora and fauna,” says My.com.
Gamers are promised the chance to explore one of the biggest worlds in the history of IOS. Allies and enemies can be talked to, and you must decide who is ultimately your friend.
“When we set out to make this game, we wanted to deliver a core RPG, but one built from the ground up for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch,” said My.com’s Publishing Director, Yuriy Maslikov. “That means players will find the same depth that RPGs are known for, but will also be drawn into the intriguing storyline and surprised by the other gameplay elements woven into the game.”
iDevice owners can download Evolution: Battle for Utopia on iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPad, iPod touch fifth generation, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina display.
iOS 6.0 is required to play the game, and My.com cautions that Evolution: Battle for Utopia is not compatible with iPod Touch 4th generation, iPhone 3GS, and iPhone 4 (despite initially mentioning some of these devices as being fully supported).
