Once Alonso put another 2 points between him and Schumacher, it seems that the German has little chances of
winning a new world title this year. After all, there are only 4 more races in which he has to overcome a 12-point deficit. Despite that fact, though, the Ferrari driver is still confident that he can clinch the world crown.

After all, he did manage to get 12 points out of Alonso in 3 races in the past. The American GP - Hockenheim - French GP proved to be disastrous for Alonso, who saw his 25-point lead cut to 11. And that's exactly what Schumacher is hoping to happen again during the last 3 GPs of the season.

"We can see that Felipe and I were very strong. If we can maintain that without having unfortunate situations like the safety car in the wrong moment, we could both be in front. If I could manage to be in front of Fernando then you can calculate what it means", said Schumacher after the race.

Actually, the German was quite pleased with his teammate's win, since it came as recognition of his talent. Massa proved to be a great choice by Ferrari 2 seasons ago and the Italians' investment is starting to pay off. Because of his great run in Turkey, Ferrari is now just 2 points behind Renault in the Constructors' standings.

"There is no point to speculate on it and what you have to look at is Felipe. Felipe did a superb job. He opened up in the early stages of the race quite a gap, he was very consistent. He opened up in the early stages of the race quite a gap, he was very consistent. He drove it home superbly and that is what is good for the team. That is what is good about our team, if someone doesn't have a good weekend the other can make up for it", concluded Schumacher.
