Michael Schumacher is convinced that he can steal Fernando Alonso's title in the last two races of the season. The German is only 2 points behind the Renault driver in the overall standings and the next two races are much more suitable for Ferrari than for the French constructor. "We should not underestimate Renault and will be focusing solely on our strengths. We will be going all out in the final races and we will see what the season has in store for us. We have every chance of taking the title though, in my opinion, it will be tough", said Schumacher yesterday. The German took advantage of Alonso's engine blow at Monza and recovered another valuable 10 points in the standings. Apart from the Turkish GP, Michael Schumacher managed to get in front of Alonso every race since the American GP. And, with the last 2 races out of Europe, where Michelin has a clear disadvantage over Bridgestone, Alonso's task will become harder and harder to complete. "Having said this, I have to repeat that the squad and I think we have a good chance, above all in the constructors' championship where we are in a good position. Felipe's input has proved decisive here, especially in the last three races", said Schumacher, giving a boost to his Italian teammate. Actually, the two drivers' lieutenants may prove to be decisive this end of a season. For the time being, Felipe Massa seems more likely to have a saying in the title race than Giancarlo Fisichella. The Renault rider failed to clinch a podium since the American GP, while Massa managed his first career win in Istanbul.
