Ferrari might get off pretty bad at the end of the season. If Michael Schumacher wins the Formula One title this year, the German
will most probably retire. He even admitted that to one of his friends (manager Willi Webber), stating that getting out as a champion is all he wants more in his racing career. Still, that might leave Ferrari hanging in both driving & management compartment.
Even if Ferrari is denying the latest allegations, it is believed that Ross Brown will step down his technical directing position inside the team after this season. And it won't have anything to do with Schumacher's retirement. The British "Autosport" magazine published an article in which Brown allegedly admitted to some of his friends that he's going to leave Formula One after the 2006 season.
So, if winning this year, Ferrari might lose all of it the next one. Ross Brown has been a part of Ferrari for the last 10 years and the Italian team practically owes him for becoming the best team in Formula One during the last decade. Ever since Schumacher & Brown entered the Ferrari family, the "red horse" broke record after record.
Still, Michael Schumacher asks the Ferrari fans to keep cool and wait a few more weeks until the Monza GP. It has been announced that the Italian race will be the place where Ferrari should announce its structure for the next season.
"I don't see what could be destabilizing about that situation. We all know rumors, we all live with them, and we all handle them. It is absolutely not important where and what is the story. The point is that in Monza we all will be much cleverer and we all will know exactly what is going on so there is no point in speculating", said Schumacher.
