Employees of Indonesian school get their money from green ATM

Up until recently, the people working at the Green School on the Indonesian island of Bali had to walk up to eight miles to get to the nearest ATM machine if they wanted to cash in on their wages.

However, thanks to a revolutionary idea, they can now do just that with the help of an environmentally friendly ATM, located right next to the school's building.

This peculiar money machine is entirely powered by solar panels placed on its top.

As well as this, it is secured by all-green materials, meaning that it is carefully “tucked away” in an enclosure made of bamboo, glass and recycled aluminum.

Seeing how, as suggested by its name, the Green School is in itself oriented towards sustainable development and eco-technologies, we can only argue that this odd ATM does indeed fit in.
