14 DAY TRIAL // In August 2012, a picture showing an arthritic dog swimming with his owner went viral. The picture is the one above.
As reported at that time, John Unger took up the habit of swimming with his dog every once in a while in an attempt to ease some of the pain that Schoep was experiencing because of his arthritis.
Soon after the picture went viral, John Unger got loads of donations from people who had been deeply touched by his and his dog's story. With the help of this money, John was able to offer Shoep the treatment he needed.
Fast forward several months, and Shoep seems to be doing just fine. In fact, he has just turned 20 this past weekend, sources report.
What's more, he felt well enough to celebrate it together with his owner.
