Sceptre is well known to a lot of our readers for its price friendly HDTVs and computer monitors and now the company has decided to join the two with a new series of colorful 23-inch Full HDTVs that can also be used as a PC display.

Sceptre's new creations are part of the company's “24” Series and are available in Gun Metal, Pink, Black, Pearl White, Red and Blue.

In addition to the unique colorways, Sceptre's new creations were also built to feature a slim design and measure 0.6 inches (about 1.5cm) at their thinnest point, while their weight, including the stand is estimated at 8.25 lbs (3.74Kg).

On the back of the devices, users will find no less than three HDMI ports, a VGA connector, a series of component and composite video and audio inputs as well as an S/PDIF port.

An USB connector is also included, so owners can watch home movies or playback music without having to use a computer.

Speaking of music, the new Sceptre HDTVs carry a pair of built-in 3W speakers with support for virtual surround sound and auto volume control.

The panel used in the “24” Series Full HD television sets has a response time of 5ms, provides 250cd/m2 of brightness and a contrast ratio of 1000:1.

“The new 24 Series FullHD LED HDTVs embodies Sceptre’s commitment to providing affordable and high quality products to the public” said Cathy Chou, Vice President of Operations, Sceptre.

“Self expression is as important as quality, and Sceptre allows users the ability to complement their décor and personalities,” concluded the company's rep.

The recommended retail price for the new 23-inch HDTVs has been set at $229.99 (roughly 165 Euros) and are available for purchase right now from Target.
