Scarlett Johansson's fashion sense was harshly criticized by Woody Allen, by saying she dresses "like my Aunt Minnie". That was quite a mean remarque…
The 21-year-old actress, who starred in the director's latest film, 'Match Point', is often listed as 'best dressed celebrity' and she has even been compared to Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe.
Despite of other people's opinions, the70-year-old director disagrees with the beautiful actress' choices when it comes to fashion.
"I have had many conversations with Scarlett on this subject. She needs to be more natural. She is a beautiful girl, but I have told her to tone it down. I have told her to dress her age, instead of dressing like my Aunt Minnie.," he states in a fashion magazine.
Scarlett said that Allen never likes what she wears, so she was not surprised by her director's statement.
When it comes to fashion the opinions are very diverse. So, if Woody Allen says she's dressing like an old lady, Scarlett's mother thinks her daughter has revealed too much cleavage at the Golden Globe awards.
"Melanie said she looked like a member of the 'Baywatch' cast. Mel feels Scarlett tried a little too hard to show off her figure - to the point where she was almost bursting out of her dress," a close friend of the family says about her mother's opinion.
