Actress Scarlett Johansson is reportedly pregnant with her first child by fiancé Romain Dauriac and she is due in August this year. While this is happy news for both her and Romain, it’s complicating things for Marvel, which planned to start shooting “Avengers: Age of Ultron” this April.

Moreover, Marvel was considering starting production on a Black Widow standalone film right after the second “Avengers” installment, if we’re to believe reports online.

With Scarlett about to show soon, it will be hard for her to fit into that spandex black suit, so Marvel is already thinking of how to alter the shooting schedule to make it possible for her to do the “Ultron” part while still possible, inside sources say for E! News.

“Shooting for the superhero sequel will need a bit of rearranging. ‘They're going to fast-track her scenes,’ the insider tells us. Johansson is scheduled to begin shooting Avengers 2 overseas on April 5, after her promotional tour for Captain America is complete,” the celebrity publication notes.

As expected, Marvel isn’t commenting on any of this. Come to think of it, not even Scarlett has confirmed the pregnancy rumors yet.

However, assuming they are accurate, this means that whatever plans Marvel had for a standalone, Black Widow film will have to be put on hold for another couple of years.
