In February, Dylan Farrow, Woody Allen’s daughter with ex-wife Mia Farrow, penned a scathing open letter in a highly circulated publication, recalling how the esteemed screenwriter and director had molested her when she was just a child. She also called out actors and actresses still working with Woody, asking them how they could stand to work with such a shady man, and even contribute to him getting richer by the day.

As far as Scarlett Johansson is concerned – and she is concerned because she was one of the stars whose name was mentioned by Dylan – she should not have been brought into this scandal.

Dylan tried to argue that no one in their sane mind would agree to work with Allen knowing that he was a child molester, claims that have been plaguing him for decades.

She named actors who still worked with him because she obviously believed it would bring more weight to the case she was trying to make: namely that Allen should not be celebrated but shunned by the entire Hollywood.

In a new chat with The Guardian, Scarlett, who is now promoting the second “Captain America” installment, “The Winter Soldier,” takes the “what’s that gotta do with me?” road.

“I think it’s irresponsible to take a bunch of actors that will have a Google alert on and to suddenly throw their name into a situation that none of us could possibly knowingly comment on. That just feels irresponsible to me,” she says, when asked how she felt about Dylan’s op-ed and her outrageous abuse claims.

Scarlett also seems to not believe any of Dylan’s claims, since we’re on the topic, saying, “I’m unaware that there’s been a backlash [against Allen]. I think he’ll continue to know what he knows about the situation, and I’m sure the other people involved have their own experience with it. It’s not like this is somebody that’s been prosecuted and found guilty of something, and you can then go, ‘I don’t support this lifestyle or whatever.’ I mean, it’s all guesswork.”

If she’s heard anything of the rumble in the media caused by Dylan Farrow’s renewed accusations, she’s definitely not letting it show. Johansson says that she knows nothing of the scandal and, as such, it could not have possibly impacted her relationship with him.

“It would be ridiculous for me to make any kind of assumption one way or the other,” she adds, openly refusing to take sides.

On a more positive note, Scarlett could probably do without all the drama right now, since word has it she’s pregnant with her first child by fiancé Romain Dauriac.
