Scarlett Johansson Is Dating Sean Penn, Claims Report

Scarlett Johansson has already moved on from her failed married to Ryan Reynolds. With divorce papers yet to be signed, the actress has taken a liking to a much older actor, Sean Penn, with whom she bonded over charity, says a new report.

Us Magazine claims Scarlett met the Oscar-winning actor via some charity they’re doing together – and she’s completely smitten with him.

“A source tells the new issue of Us Weekly (on stands now) that the duo began their fling in early January when she was staying at LA’s Chateau Marmont while filming We Bought a Zoo with Matt Damon,” Us writes.

This would come to contradict a report of less than a week ago, according to which Scarlett met up with ex Ryan to see if a reconciliation was possible – and was left crying when she was told it wasn’t.

Us’s source says there is definitely something between Scarlett and Sean, there’s really no denying that.

“Their first hook-up was in Scarlett’s Bungalow,” a well placed (but unnamed) insider says for the publication.

“Scarlett first reached out to Sean when she was planning to visit Haiti with Oxfam. She knew Sean was living there in a tent and turned to him for advice. Scarlett’s smitten with him,” the spy explains.

Scarlett’s rep, though, would beg to differ: it’s true that the Johansson and Sean met while working with charities for Haiti but it’s inaccurate to say they’re romantically involved.

They are only good friends who are working together for a cause, her rep says in a statement released shortly after this rumor started making the rounds online.

“Scarlett and Sean are not dating – they have been friends for years,” the rep says.

“Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett’s upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam’s Global Ambassador,” adds the publicist.
