Certain celebrities have come to be known today for the monikers assigned to them by the press and they don't seem to mind it. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie probably don't hate being called Brangelina, but Scarlett Johansson takes serious issue with the ScarJo moniker.

The stunner is now promoting “We Bought a Zoo,” in which she stars opposite Matt Damon. In a new interview with USA Today, she also talks about being called ScarJo in the glossies and the blogosphere.

As she sees it, it's proof of ultimate laziness to call her that.

“It’s a laziness. People can’t actually say the whole name? It’s just bizarre,” she says.

What's even weirder, she says, is that bloggers and reporters seem to discriminate between who gets a shortened name like this one and who doesn't.

“[How come Daniel Day-Lewis isn’t ] like, 'DaDay'? So Cate Blanchett is not, like, 'CaBla'? Why is that? Why do I have to get stuck? If I hear somebody say that, I know I don’t know them at all,” Scarlett says.

Other examples of celebrities whose names have been changed into recognized monikers are Lindsay Lohan – LiLo and Rihanna – RiRi, to name just two of the most famous.

It's all part of the fame game, Johasson seems to say. She's lucky she's learned how to play the game, so she hardly reads or sees anything in the press that gets her upset.

“The hardest part is actually going through whatever hardship you’re facing. Going through it in public is the added unfortunate thing. There’s nothing you can do about that,” she says of public exposure.

You can, however, choose to avoid the limelight and everything that goes with it until you're left with no other choice than to be a part of it.

“One of the best things I learned this year was to not read any tabloid, gossipy, you know, garbage. It really keeps you on the straight and narrow. And while some of it kind of leaks in occasionally, it’s really nice to not know what crazy stories,” she says.
