This May 1, when “Avengers: Age of Ultron” drops in theaters, Marvel’s famous superhero group will be facing more than just Ultron and his dangerous army in a battle to the death: “The Twins” will be joining the Marvel cinematic universe.

“The Twins” are actually Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, who will be siding with Ultron in his attempt to destroy the Avengers before turning over to the good side, for reasons that we will discover in the movie. This storyline is also found in the comics.

Elizabeth Olsen plays Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff, while the role of Quicksilver / Pietro Maximoff is played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

The two characters, who have already gotten fans curious, have gotten their own character posters, which you can find in the gallery below. Scarlett Witch’s powers include the ability to alter reality in a variety of ways. We’ve seen in the third trailer for the film (video below) that she will be unleashing her power on Black Widow, before turning good.

Quicksilver, as his name implies, can move with lighting speed, which gives him the upper hand on whoever he’s facing in combat. The character Quicksilver recently appeared in Fox’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” where he was played by Evan Peters.

Audiences, however, are supposed to regard the two Quicksilvers as separate entities.

That said, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will be out in May 1.
