Only recently, Anchorage, US was declared to be the country's dirties urban area.

Wishing to lend a helping hand in cleaning up this municipality, PETA has plans to post an ad featuring one of its 'Lettuce Ladies' on each of the town's garbage trucks. Their goal, as usual, is to convince people to become vegetarians.

Apparently, the meat and dairy industry have to be held responsible not just for abusing animals, but also for polluting the environment.

Therefore, turning to a fruits- and vegetables-based diet can help the folks in Anchorage have a cleaner city.

Tracy Truman, presently employed as executive vice president for PETA, made a case of how, “"Our proposal is a win-win solution: Anchorage will be better able to keep clean, and people will be encouraged to adopt a healthy and humane vegan diet that won't pollute the environment.”
