Hoax Slayer has come across a spam campaign that promises free 11-week-old kittens. Recipients of these messages are told that they only have to pay the transportation fee, which is $220 (€167) per kitten.
In reality, there are no kittens. It’s a scam that’s designed to trick unsuspecting animal lovers into handing over their money.
The scammers try to convince victims that it’s safe, that the transportation fee will be paid directly to the shipping company. However, in reality, it’s not. The money ends up in the crooks’ pockets.
Here’s what these emails look like. If you come across one, simply ignore it. These types of scams have been making the rounds for years now, but they still appear to be successful.

1) what are your names...? 2) what is your phone number so i could call if necessary...? 3) Do you have any experience with kittens? 4) Will you send us updates about him or her from time to time and pictures? 5) Where exactly are you located?
