The head of Microsoft's Xbox division, Phil Spencer, assured gamers that the upcoming Xbox One exclusive Scalebound wouldn't be influenced by western design trends and ideas.

When asked by a fan on Twitter whether the Xbox One computer entertainment system's popularity in the West would influence design decisions on the upcoming Scalebound, Spencer replied that Platinum Games "have built great games based on their design philosophy," and that Microsoft had no intention to tamper with that.

Scalebound was announced during Microsoft's press conference event at this year's edition of the E3 trade show in June, as an Xbox One exclusive title geared toward Eastern audiences.

Developer Platinum Games is most famous for making Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and in addition to Scalebound, they are currently involved in making Bayonetta 2, a Nintendo Wii U exclusive, and The Legend of Korra, an action adventure title based on the popular anime series.

Game Director Hideki Kamiya said that Scalebound would offer "action at a whole new scale," but so far there is not information regarding the particularities of said action, aside from what the E3 CGI trailer hinted at.

Scalebound currently has no release window, but is expected to come sometime during 2015, exclusively to Microsoft's Xbox One home console. We'll most likely get to see more of Scalebound later this year, during the Tokyo Game Show.
