Lately, cameras have reached a whole new technological level – and this is just the beginning, for we have been promised that, in the near future, cameras will cross the two figure megapixel threshold. Said promise is nothing but nice and somewhat shocking, for not many would have expected results that impressive in such a short amount of time. With all that, the story doesn't end here.
Unfortunately, it seems that, while trying to release better devices faster than the competition, most manufacturers were forced to make certain sacrifices, such as the extension of the
shutter-lag. Even cameras that do not pack too many pixels have noticeable delay times. It is with the high definition, highly advanced cameras that the shutter time is much longer – paradoxically, nobody seems to have addressed this issue thus far. This resulted in damaging the photographing experience because of the seemingly never-ending delay time.
This problem seems to have been taken on by Scandalo, as it is announcing it will equip its new Scadalo camera with software and hardware innovations that will resolve this problem for good. Also, the company has stated that the new camera will come with instant zoom, burst-mode capabilities, and “unique, professional
DSLR like performance,” as Scandalo's Marketing Vice President, Magnus Inglesten, put it.
Should such innovations, plus the other promised performances mentioned earlier, materialize, then the photographing experience would finally be complete. Of course, after crossing that barrier, new horizons will emerge.
These developments are said to go on sale, slapped on the
Scandalo cameras, sometime in the next winter holiday season, so there's no reason to get overexcited as of now. There's still plenty of time for other prospects to appear and impress us, thus changing our expectations by this time next year.
