Since the year's favorite shopping season is almost here, most consumer electronics manufacturers are coming out with all sorts of themed products, which will get people (a.k.a possible customers) into the holiday (read spending) mood. And that's exactly the case with the Walletex company,
maker of the famous Wallet Flash USB Flash dive, which has just announced two special lines of credit card-sized portable storage solutions, namely the Christmas Special and Hanukkah Special series, whose external design is clearly inspired by these Christian and Jewish holidays.
Actually, the various decorations are pretty much the only differences between these special editions and the ordinary Wallet Flash models. Thus, even if each of the available models from the Christmas and Hanukkah series "wears" a different set of graphics on the outside, the size (85.6 mm x 54 mm x 1.9 mm) and weight (12 grams) are exactly the same as in the case of the "all year round" versions.
Walletex's festive Wallet Flash USB flash drives are available in several versions, namely 128 MB, 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, 2 GB and 4 GB. Furthermore, like the other similar products coming from the same company, these portable storage units feature an incorporated, double-sided swiveling USB 2.0 connector, which is used for hooking the drive to a host computer and supports maximum data rates of up to 480 Mbps.
Moreover, the drives are compatible with the most common operating systems on the market, namely Win XP, Win2000, Windows ME, Linux 2.4 and above, Mac OS 9.0 & higher, incorporate a LED activity indicator and are also water proof (which could really come in handy, especially if the user decided to take a swim wearing nothing but his wallet and credit-card sized drive).
The holiday drives retail for around 26 - 106 US dollars, which are some pretty high price tags, even if we're talking about a couple of specially-themed, ultra-flat drives.
