The handset will probably arrive in the wild soon enough

Lenovo might have purchased Motorola thus becoming the world’s third smartphone manufacturer after Samsung and Apple, but the Chinese company is still actively pushing its own agenda.

A few days ago, we brought you news that the company will next come to Barcelona at MWC 2015 with a flagship of its own. The Vibe Z3 Pro has already been leaked into the wild, showing quite powerful specifications.

Anyhow, so far Lenovo has been pretty mum about providing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its current lineup of devices.

Lenovo plans to bring out Lollipop-powered phones soon

While owners of Lenovo phones and tablets are still waiting on that, the company is apparently gearing up to launch its first smartphones running on Google’s latest OS.

Two new models have been spotted on the Chinese website TENAA, going by the names of Lenovo K50 and Lenovo A7600.

The first model arrives with a 5.5-inch display and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and bundles an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz under the hood. We’re not being told which kind of silicone we’re dealing with, but given the company’s track record, it’s probably a MediaTek one.

The handset also has a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

As for the second device, it is called the A7600 and is outfitted with the same 5.5-inch display, although the resolution is a bit low this time (1280 x 720 resolution).

The phone also has an octa-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz, probably of the MediaTek variety as well. The spec list is completed by a 13MP/5MP camera combo, 2GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable memory.

Both products run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, as we mentioned above.

The Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro will also run on Lollipop

For the time being, we don’t really know when these devices will be rolled out into the wild. However, if you want something more powerful, be sure to keep your eyes opened for the Vibe Z3 Pro at MWC 2015.

The handset is expected to make a debut with a 5.5-inch display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution (2K) and a Snapdragon 810 outfitted with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

As you can see, Lenovo’s upcoming flagship is shaping up to be quite a beast, one worthy of taking on the Samsung Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9.
