A special Hello Kitty Edition of the old Samsung Champ (C3300) handset is being rolled out by Samsung Taiwan starting this week. The device comes with exclusive content, as well as different color combination, but includes the same features as the original model.

Samsung Champ Hello Kitty Edition is available on the market in a white-pink color scheme and features the Hello Kitty logo stamped on the back cover of the phone.

Feature-wise, the touch mobile phone comes with a 2.4-inch TFT resistive touchscreen with 262K colors support (240x320 pixels resolution), TouchWiz Lite UI, 3.5 mm audio jack, speakerphone with stereo speakers, and FM Radio with integrated antenna.

The bar phone has the same sizes, 96.3 x 53.8 x 13 mm and weight, 80g (including battery). It sports a low-end 1.3-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities (QCIF@15fps).

Other key features of the mobile phone include: GPRS/EDGE class 10, 30MB internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 8GB), Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, microUSB port, Sound Alive 3D effects.

Samsung Champ Hello Kitty Edition is powered by a 1000mAh Li-Ion battery, which was rated by the manufacturer for up to 12 hours of talk time, or 28 days of standby.

The phone also also includes some of the most important social networking services, such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.

Hello Kitty Edition handset is also pre-loaded with special wallpapers and Hello Kitty animation, which is not present in the original model.

Samsung C3300K Champ was announced in May 2010 and it hit the shelves one month later, in June.

The new version targets the youth class, but mostly children, even though the price doesn't recommend it.

Samsung Champ Hello Kitty is only available in Taiwan starting this week and can be bought for NT$4,990, which is about $160 USD.
