This is a concept and not a real life product that can be purchased

Some of you following tablet trends might already know Samsung has been rumored to be working on a bendable tablet product. The device has reportedly been shown to key players in the tech industry at MWC 2014, but the masses didn't get any glimpses of it.

While we wait for such a product to become reality, Rolltop is teasing us with a concept for the ultimate laptop/tablet concept.

Tired of carrying your laptop in your backpack? Even if it’s a super sleek Ultrabook of sorts, it will still weight heavy upon you if you spend all day walking through town.

If you’re the active type with a mobile office or just have to carry your device to work every day, the Rolltop might be your salvation.

In light of recent developments in the industry, like LG’s flexible panels, the Rolltop should soon be perfectly feasible. It consists of a flexible OLED touchscreen that can be rolled up into a cylinder-shaped laptop computer, which can be rolled out to form either a notebook, tablet or a display monitor – the choice is yours.

The concept has been around for a while, but from time to time new perks and tweaks are added to the original design, so we thought it was worthy to mention it again.

So rather than carrying your laptop in your backpack complete with annoying cables and what not, Rolltop brings everything together, in perfect harmony, in a flat panel that wraps neatly around a central cylinder.

What’s more, everything about the Rolltop has double usage. For example, the strap used to carry the cylinder on your shoulder is actually the power cord of the device. The central column of the concoction is devised to house the speakers, camera, USB ports and LAN ports.

As we said, there are various ways of using the Rolltop. For starters, you can roll out the screen completely flat and get a spacious 17-inch tablet or display (it has a built-in stand). However, if you feel like using it as a notebook, the only thing you have to do is raise one end to transform it into a 13-inch lappy with a virtual keyboard.

Sadly, to this day the Rolltop remains only a concept, but who knows, at some point the team behind it might sell their idea to a device manufacturer that has the necessary technology to transform this idea a reality. Would you be interested in a Rolltop?
